Not long ago a friend (who had recently remodeled her bathroom) gave me a large supply of paint chips, mostly in my least favorite color. So I decided to use them to experiment making ATCs. If I liked how they turned out, I could keep them and if not, it wouldn’t hurt to toss them. It all worked out so well. I made a series of Artist Trading Cards with papers from my scrap basket, glued them card stock and made them into a set of greeting cards which I gave a friend for Christmas. Then I got to thinking: What if I used paint chips in colors that I actually like? The result is this month’s ATC Night, 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Stampin’ From the Heart, 11720 Washington Place, L.A., (call 310-391-0466 for directions). Cost is $10. All materials supplied by Los Angeles-based paper and book artist Jessica Hollowell. Reminder: We start on time at 6:30 and go till 8 p.m. If you wish to trade cards of your own design, please make at least 10, including one for me and one for Karen’s collection that is kept at the store. What’s an ATC? See the page on this site for the answer. Hope to see you there.
