Ah , the wonders of corrugated cardboard. Just by tearing off one layer of this ubiquitous (it’s everywhere) material, a whole new world of texture is revealed. It begs for color and that’s what this month’s Artist Trading Card is going to be all about. We’ll give a new life to a piece of dull, lifeless and utilitarian corrugated cardboard. First, a couple of coats of Making Memories paint, some shimmer with a touch of Lumiere and then stamp it up and embellish. What a transformation! I just couldn’t stop making them. Join instructor Jessica Hollowell, Los Angeles-based paper and book artist, for ATC Night, 6:30-8 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Stampin’ From the Heart. We start right on time for a trade and then have a demo and you get to make 2 of these corrugated beauties. Suggestion: bring rubber gloves. Cost is $10, all materials supplied. Hope to see you there.
For those who wish to trade: Please bring at least 10 cards to trade. One for everyone trading, one for the instructor and one for the store’s collection. Not sure what an Artist Trading Card is? Please see the page on this site “What’s an ATC?”
